Covid-19: my deal so far

Individuals and corporate bodies have donated billions of Naira towards the collective fight against the #Coronavirus pandemic. I am still on my way towards earning my first #Million (let alone billion). This has, however, not hindered me from playing my part in the struggle. For about two months now, I have been donating my time, wit, soft skills and other resources towards the fight. I am not doing this alone, I work with the KnowCovid19 Nigeria team.

My opinion on issues (relating to CoViD-19) have been better informed due to fact finding and personal analysis of trends and associations. I also think more, now, of the effects of these trends in social and economic developments.

KnowCovid19 Nigeria is a team of young vibrant Nigerians which saddles itself with the responsibility of dispelling fake news, establishing facts and analysing trends about the #Coronavirus Pandemic in Nigeria. We are spending what we have as our own contribution to the cause. We would appreciate supports in whatever forms possible however (thank you in advance).

The opportunity that the KnowCovid-19 Nigeria group offers me to put my little ability to use in fighting the Coronavirus pandemic, the knowledge that I’m being a piece (however tiny) of the solution puzzle is a soothing motivation.

Volunteering always comes with its perks. One word for my experience in the KnowCovid-19 Nigeria group is Growth! My knowledge of data mining may not be on top level, interestingly, it has improved. I have had to read and ask questions on how to gather data on a topic of interest. I am learning the use of some tools (methods, softwares etc.) for research and updating my knowledge of the ones I used to know.

My opinion on issues (relating to CoViD-19) have been better informed due to fact finding and personal analysis of trends and associations. I also think more, now, of the effects of these trends in social and economic developments.

Being in KnowCovid-19 Nigeria has improved my general knowledge about the world and has increased my interest in learning more. I have been accepted into a Research and Evaluation course. It is certain that my experience here will be helpful towards my success in the course.

I will tell you more of my deal, probably, I would make it a series (Covid19 series, lolz) because we never can tell when miss Rona is going to leave us. Don’t hesitate to let me know what you think.
